Happy Sunday, friends! Hope you all had a great holiday. Yesterday was a loooong travel day for me and my little fam. What was meant to be a 6ish-hour journey from San Francisco to LA end up taking almost 12 hours. Luckily I went totally overboard at Good Earth (the Marin version of Erewhon but without celebrities, so better) and had plenty of meals and snacks to get us through. But gahh…I’m writing this kind of late Saturday night (I’m committed to you all…but pls excuse any typos!) and itching to get to the farmers market tomorrow morning to do my Sunday thing.

If you were traveling or felt like you overdid it over the Thanksgiving holiday, the absolute best thing you can do is just get back into your groove. You don’t need to do anything extreme to compensate for extra servings of pumpkin pie or throw in the towel until New Year’s Day, just get right back into it.

Low carb pulled pork lettuce wraps are on deck for tonight!

This week’s menu features hearty, blood sugar-friendly dishes with bold flavors, like sesame ginger pork lettuce wraps (pictured above) and spaghetti squash with zesty turkey meatballs. I love spaghetti squash as a pasta alternative. It has less than 10 grams of carbs per serving, but still feels immensely satisfying with a warm tomato sauce and meatballs like we’re having this week.

I know the holidays are busy and that you’re probably tired from Thanksgiving (I am!), but I promise you will be happy to have these meals planned and prepped in advance.

Happy cooking!

xx Mia

A few meal prep adjacent things I’m into:

Found at Good Earth:
I felt like we needed a little treat for the car ride, so I picked up these organic freeze dried chocolate covered bananas and they were excellent. Honestly as I saw the time estimate growing and growing I was happy to have a little morale boost. Better than a candy bar for sure.

A game for young kids:
My aunt got Ozzie Kids on Stage—it’s kind of like charades but you don’t have to be able to read to do it (there are pictures). He was so into it all week, and I have to stay it was kinda fun. Would make a great present for a 4+ year old or family activity.

Holiday sweaters on sale:
I’m in the mood for cozy! I have been wearing this black number on repeat (25% off), but also love this chunky white turtle neck, this striped henley (on mega sale), and this “popcorn top” (25% off).

And, before we cook, a quick thank you to everyone who submitted questions on Friday! I was planning on answering them all in the car and of course it was more hectic than I anticipated, but I’ll get to them all today or tomorrow. Feel free to drop more Qs in if you have them. xx

We’re starting the week with pulled pork lettuce wraps. The leftover pork will be used for a 10-minute fried rice on Tuesday. Tomorrow we have that spaghetti squash with turkey meatballs—I’d highly suggest making it today so you can just heat and eat it. And there’s more: I am personally really excited for this halibut puttanesca and a new mustard-marinated sheet pan chicken dish…also on the menu this week.

I could eat this halibut puttanesca every day. It’s that good (and easy!)
